Mt Hood day trips from Portland

NW Bus Tours is happy to offer Mt Hood day trips from Portland. This scenic day tour to Oregon’s highest point and a prominent landmark visible up to 100 miles away is an unforgettable experience.

On our way to Timberline Lodge, a National Historic Landmark with an elevation of about 6,000 feet, we get to stop and enjoy the Multnomah Falls, the tallest waterfall in the state of Oregon with it’s 620 foot drop.

After a brief yet very scenic drive we will arrive at Rowena Crest Viewpoint, one of the best places to view the geological reminders of the ice age floods which created the Gorge. We will proceed south through the Hood River Valley, popular for it’s orchards and wineries to the Trillium Lake and finally the Timberline Lodge, a popular tourist attraction that draws two million visitors annually and is situated at an elevation of almost 6000 feet.
